I am trying to reset the origin for my X & Y axis. Using the hand-held controller (RA A11), I move to my desired X & Y. When I hit XY-0 to set the origin, I get this error message:
"There is in the machine coordinates state, can't set the workpiece original, please switch to the workpiece state."
Any advice?

I accidentally got there once myself. You are probably in some sort of work piece coordinate system (one of the coordinate memory functions) Try pressing "Menu" and the "0" key at the same time to switch it to a mechanical coordinate system. I found an old RichAuto A11 manual that had some garbled detail on this. Here's a copy I saved: www.dropbox.com/s/zynotzbp1vykg2h/Richauto_A11_Manual.pdf?dl=0

You've accidently pressed ''menu+0'' and entered the machine's coordinate state which will be noted by seeing an 'A' in front of the X,Y,Z,A on your HHC. Pressing ''menu+1” will put you into the 1st 'work' origin state where you will be able to set the X,Y,Z,A for 'work state #1'. You will now see the #1 in front of X,Y,Z,A. There are 9 availble in all and I have recently found them to be extremely useful and a major time saver when using multiple jigs, fixtures, etc. Particularily happy that each state holds it's own Z-0 as long as you're using the same bit and not swichng out between 'work states'. I'm currently using 5 work states....2 for the rotary and 3 for different jigs located throughout my working envelope.

Yes! Perfect. I push the 'Menu' and the 'On/Off' button to set the Z-axis using the puck. I bet I accidentally hit the 'Menu' and the '0' which got me into this Work Piece Coordinate System. I got it switched back. Thank you gentlemen.

After installing the LASER module I had this problem... I couldn't set the origin. The MENU+0 trick fixed it and I'm back to normal operation.
Thanks for the fix!
