I was running a large job and had to stop when I started cutting into the backing board. When I went to start up the machine this morning the controller showed as in pic #1. When I inserted the memory stick and tried to run a new job the controller read as in pic #2. I assume that the old program is stored in the controller and not being erased. What am I doing wrong?
Sorry,I attached the pics but they didn't go thru. Pic #1 shows the controller window with x, y and z coordinates and at the bottom it says "Continue". In Pic #2 the controller says "Select Work File" then "There is no item in this directory". I have tried every thing but I cannot run the file.
1/2/18 - I talked to Chad today and he solved my problem. I was using a 32GB flash drive and the controller could not read the files. He recommends no larger than a 8 GB flash drive and a level 2 (?). I put in a 4GB FD and ran my jobs no problem. Thanks Chad. In the future I will be using no larger than a 8GB and I will delete my old job before loading a new one. Lesson learned. I will post pictures of some of my work when I learn how to enter them. I suspect that they must be restricted in size. Thanks to Steve and Damon for their response also.

There is a thread that discusses the Hand Held Controller issues ... axiomprecision.proboards.com/thread/138/handheld-controllerOne solution is to attempt to reload the firmware for the HHC. Axiom Tech support sent the following instructions: This update should restore the complete program and get your machine back up and running fairly quickly. To install; first save the A11(q13-698).pkg file to your USB flash drive. Insert the flash drive into the controller, with the machine off. Hold down the OK button as you turn the machine on. Continue holding the OK button until the loading screen appears. This should take you to the Emergency State screen. Here, you will be able to select to Update the Software. Follow the prompts to select the UDisk (flash disk) as the source. Then select the attached file. Install of the file will take just a minute. During the install, “unknown information” may flash on the screen. This is expected as the file names do not have any information setup for the display to show. Once complete the controller will prompt you to perform a restart. And all should be back to normal.*Unfortunately, I can't upload this file to the forum thread. If you email Axiom Tech Support, they can send you the file. *If that doesn't work, you may need a new Hand Held Controller.
