I’m fairly new at v-routing and I am having issues with steps in my rout. I’d like to add a photo of what’s happening, but I don’t know how. Can someone help me with what I may be doing wrong? Please use simple language and don’t use technical terms in your answer. Thank you.

Ithink it is much easier to post pics on the desktop vs a phone. I know ther is a way with the phone but I don’t see it right off. We almost have to see what it is doing to figure whats wrong.

There is a snipping tool already in your computer. Do a search for "snipping tool". By using that tool you can capture parts of the screen that you want to show others. That's your first assignment. After you get the snipping tool app, we'll show you how to post screen snips here. Bob

Bob, I suspect he is posting using a phone and may already have a pic just can’t figure out how to post it. When I am on my phone, I can’t see. All the attach photo icons in the reply box like when I am on the computer. I thought one time I discovered how to do it but when I was going to explain it to him, I couldn’t see how again. Its not as straight forward on a phone like it is on the computer.
Oh, I just found it. I have to scroll down to the bottom where it says “desktop” and press that before I start typing in the response box and it brings up a bunch of icons like you have on the computer, where you can select the and take a picture from your phone “camera roll”. But you have to select the word “desktop” before you start typing your response. Select add attachment then select the pic from you phone’s camera roll. Actually I tried that and my text wasn’t attached. I had to send the pic then send another reply with the text. I’m sure there is a way to do both in one reply but I don’t see it yet.

If the "steps" you're referring to are the tiny lines left by the V bit, then you can eliminate them by adding a larger area clearance tool (e.g. an end mill) to the V Carve toolpath. Run that bit first, then the V bit. The larger clearance bit will give you a flat bottom and the V bit will only hit the areas not reached by the end mill.
