I work on an Axiom Autoroute 6+ pro and yesterday I started to encou ter a jamming (and a loud buzzing noise) when the "X" axix move to it's right limit and on the "Z" axis move to it's higher limit as well. When this happens, the machine sets a new "home" coordinates and the toolpath that is currently started is obviously offset. I have to mention that I am still able to send the machine "Home" correctly whenever I need to without any constraints. Since I met this problem, I opened the side panels of the cnc and looked for any disconnected cables or contraints in the moving parts of the machine. Any ideas on what the problem is, I have lots to do with that CNC...

Any ideas on what the problem is, I have lots to do with that CNC... when I had this issue of binding on the X axis I was able to do the lubrication procedure in the manual and this adjusts the ball nut which was binding. If you remove the drive coupling on the X axis the head of the machine should move easily on the X axis with just finger pressure back and forth, any binding at the far end of travel will cause lost steps. |

Max,
Things to check, are the drive screws clean and lubricated? Have the limit switches moved a little out of position? (It has happened to my machine.) Is there anything that has been left on or under the machine that could be jamming movement? Have you done anything lately on the machine that could have bumped the limit switches out of position..cleaning, or moving the machine, etc?
