Hello to all.
I am at the point where interest has grown for me to cut Grid Lines into the sectional spoil boards on my Iconic 8 CNC. I have tried to design one myself, but have done something wrong. Would anyone have a file (already set up for that cutting task) that they wouldn't mind sharing, or even selling? It would help me to finally get to where I wish to be, with that endeavor.

1" grid lines beginning at lower left corner of spoilboard. Saved as an Aspire and a VCarve Pro file depending what software you have.
Just read your signature and see you have Aspire. This file is from Aspire v9.519 so will work with your Aspire version.

Joeblow,
Good day to you, and than you for those files. Some time back, I had tried to draw up a spoil board gridline cut pattern, but did something wrong. I don't rightly remember what I'd done, then, but in trying to run a simulation, of the job, there was revealed a fair number of errors. Forgive me for having taken so long to get back to you, but I have been under the weather for a while. I'm feeling a bit better, now, and will head down to my shop, momentarily, to cut those lines. I thank you so much.

Hi again, Joeblow. Today, I attempted to set up the toolpathing for that file, to see what my bit's depth setting would produce. However, I ran into an issue with 'open vectors' (which brought back to mind what the problem was when I had attempted to create such a file, some time ago). Your file had 70 open vectors that I couldn't (for some reason) close. Therefore, I was halted from being able to go forward.

Hi Nathan. Your over thinking this one. No need to close those vectors at all. Select all the vectors and toolpath with a Profile Toolpath set to "on vector".

Please forgive the elapsed time it's taken for me to get back to you. I had REALLY been tackled by some issues - which caused that to happen, but I am now getting back into the saddle, again. Just now, I read back over your replies (in particular, your last one), after unsuccessfully attempting that Grid Line task, again. I try SO HARD at arming myself with what I need/want to know, about my machine, that I think I gloss right over some things that should have grabbed my attention. That was exactly the case, here. When I read back over you last post, it's like I was reading a portion of it for the very first time. Where you mentioned selecting a PROFILE toolpath, and selecting the cut-on-line part, is what had failed my vision, before. I had been selecting a 'Vcarve' manner, by which to bring success about - and THAT is why it WASN'T happening. I'm good, now, though. And I appreciate you SO MUCH.
