I am resurfacing the spoil boards on my AR8 Elite and everything goes swimmingly up until the last profile cut that clears the perimeter. it starts at the "bottom left" corner (0,0) heads up along Y then across in X then rounds the corner and starts coming back down the right edge for a few inches and then stops and the controller displays an error about an xaxis servo alarm. I attempted to run the file twice and it stopped in the exact same place both times. I slowed the feedrate down to 0.2 for the second attempt. It would be one thing if it triggered as soon as it hit the corner but it travels a good 6 inches before it 'realizes' where it is. Anyway, if i knew why it was freaking out I could maybe attempt to offset the file a few thou in the negative x or something. my knee jerk reaction is to tell it it's fine and override the alarm but I don't know how to do that which is probably good. I am attempting to run the manufacturer provided surfacing file from internal storage so it's not like i'm trying to push the limits of the tool or anything. any ideas?
Thanks,
MattH

Matt, please check the location of the proximity switch and tabs on the x-axis. If a limit switch is being tripped during a run, the controller will display an x-axis servo alarm. You may need to move the tabs on the machine and check to make sure your machine homes properly without collision. Give our support team a call if you need further assistance.

I was getting the same thing. I marked the location (as a reference) of the limit switch brackets (the metal tabs that are on the Gantry bridge that align with the limit switches) and slightly moved them and tested again. Then, I found I can't gain full access to the 610mm width with a dust shoe on my Elite. Once the bit gets close to the table the shoe hits the gantry support. Once I adjusted the x limit to 609mm in the controller and redesigned my surfacing toolpath, it worked.
