Going to spare the lifestory. Here is what I have Axiom Pro+ V5 AR6 CAD/CAM - Fusion 360 using rs274 post processor ALL models, tools and toolpaths are using metric Here is a thin piece of sheet metal as just an example of what happens all the time. Should be an easy job right? It seems there is a disconnect with this post processor with how it reads the gcode. For this example it fails to cut the left most contour so I have to make another job like shown here This is just one example I am currently working on but it seems to happen with every job I do that has several pieces of geometry that require either a contour, boring or circular job. Anyone else use Fusion 360 and deal with this? We really need an updated Post Processor... Attachments:Contours.nc (77.98 KB)

Unfortunately, if a modified Fusion post is needed...you would have to contact AutoDesk directly.
We are not familiar enough with their software to create or modify any posts. A custom Axiom post was in the works in the past...but has never been added to the software. We're not even sure how well it was tested as we ourselves were not involved.
To date, nearly all Fusion users have used the RS274 (generic gode) post with great success.
I believe that Kris Kircher with TinkerFX may be using something different...but he's pushing the envelope a bit machining non-ferrous metals where the more optimized tool-pathing options are advantageous. I'm not exactly sure what post he's using but I believe that it was a metric GRBL post.
We've also been informed that a Carbide3D GRBL post can be found that works well.
For the above post, I can't be certain what caused the failure to run the complete job as the customer had indicated to us that it was repeatable...but the tool-path provided to us (created with the RS274 post) ran correctly.

I have been using the RichAuto post included with Fusion....no problems and I do very complex stuff. Just make sure its set to mm. Yeah its not working for me at all. I did some digging in the Autodesk forums and posted this there as well. I found one person got his working using the Carbide3D Grbl post processor. Oddly enough I had sold my Carbide3D Shapeoko for this Axiom and never assumed I would have an issue using Fusion 360. Anyway it worked. It struggles with the order of say 3 different contours posting in a single .nc file but I am sure I could figure that out at this point. I am just happy to be able to use the machine. Also which RichAuto pendant and machine do you have? The RichAuto B18E that I have that supports the 4th axis just doesn't work with that post processor that came with Fusion 360.
