I'm affraid that i might know the answer but here goes.
My controller accidently fell and now the display is messed up. I can't see the Y data line and the other information is messed up also. There seems to be a crack showing inside the control. Is there a fix other than having to replace the whole thing?

Yes, get some strong sticky tape, any type will do, then gently wrap some of the tape around the body of the controller, then very carefully place your hand on the back of the controller and continue to wrap the tape around your hand. When it is about four wraps around, cut off the excess tape and never take it off. This will prevent you from any further accidents. Best to prevent dropping expensive and delicate instruments. Just pulling your leg. I try to be extremely careful with this as they are expensive and like a smart phone, laptop, tablets, are not easily repairable.

Exactly!!
When I recently ordered my Iconic 8, there were some optional items that I'd thought of getting with it. One of the items I had considered was the pendant controller protective casing. I am the kind of person who likes to take care of my stuff, and protect it as best I can, but the price of the respective casing gave me some cause for pause. $99 for a rubber coat for my pendant? Yes, I hemmed & hawed over that for quite a bit. Then, a short while after then, I happened across a post where someone mentioned having to shell out over $600 to avail themselves over a new pendant, to replace the one that they'd dropped - and broke. THAT, was enough for me. I IMMEDIATELY ordered that case, and am so happy that I did. It fits the controller perfectly, and I can just seem to feel the protective attributes that it will offer my pendant.
SO glad that I bought it.

All the above are good ideas...a number of users have made some very creative mounts for their handheld like Branson. Unfortunately, our rubberized pendant protector did not come until recently...and while it offers some protection, things can still become damaged. I've recently begun keeping an inventory of replacement screens for the b-series controllers and can even fix the vast majority of software failures (blank screen problem) that would have recently required a controller replacement. Please feel free to give us a call to discuss repairing your screen.

The Administrator is right, in that nothing (no matter how good it is) is perfect. Though that case is better than reliance on just the hard, plastic body of the pendant, itself, crap (yes) could still happen. I'm glad that I have it, but even happier to learn that there are replacement screens, as well as remedial procedures for other software/firmware related issues.
