Greetings!! I just set up my Pro AR8 V5 and have been using a trial version of Vcarve pro just to test things out. I'm up to my eyeballs trying to figure out the right combination of software I should purchase and could use some suggestions. I plan on building guitars 70% of the time and signs 30%.

You can do a lot in VCarve Pro and the learning curve is not too bad, there are a lot of training videos and a good forum for support, when you need an upgrade they give you credit towards Aspire. I have the same machine as you and have been using about 2 months with VCarve pro and when I need a model ( you might want guitar neck ), I have been purchasing what I need. Next I will make my own models when I can go to Aspire.

Get Vcarve Pro. When you feel the need to upgrade to Aspire, the entire purchase price of Vcarve Pro will be applied to Aspire, It's a great deal. There's a LOT to learn in Vcarve Pro. Free training videos and tutorials, and one of the best user forums around. The Free Trials are all fully functional, except for the exporting of toolpaths. There are even some Free Trial Projects that ARE fully functional, so you can test everything on your machine. All that said, they are THE BEST software company I've ever worked with. And I'm retired after 45+ years as a software engineer.

Many Thanks, I'm going to purchase Vcarve pro, the UI is super intuitive. I have an autocad background so I figured I would give 360 a try. Great software but huge learning curve.
