Why does the msg, y- out of soft limit occur, I've rewritten 2x. What's wrong?

Just a request: when you have your own "teachable moment" someone else out here could probably benefit from your experience. If you can, go ahead and post what happened and how you solved it even (or especially) if you think it was a dumb-dumb move. We can all learn from it. Thanks!

There is not enough room in your Y axis. The MinY is less than the allowable Y. Check out this. If this doesn't solve it post your crv file.
