Just got my new I2R CNC and finished setting it up. When i go to perform the home function the machine goes to the home position but then makes a terrible noise when it get there as if it wants to continue. Am I doing something wrong ? Also i tried to use the puck to set my Z zero but when i hit the button on the controler to perform this function i get ERROR on my controler? Any help would be appreciated.

Can you move things manually using the controller? Without hitting the Home sequence? If so, jog it around to the various limits of X & Y and move it up and down in X. See what develops. It sounds like to me that one or mor limit switches may be out of whack. I'm unfamiliar with your machine, but aren't you getting something more than just "ERROR"?...as in with additional letters or numbers that you can trace in the error table?

Thanks for the advise , I checked and i can move the Y axes all the way up and down but my X axes only travels to the middle of the bed ?? Also regarding the " Error" i only get that when i plug in the puck and hit the Zero tool button.

Same problem with mine that came yesterday. Fix was easy. On the back of the gantry there is a yellow sensor that interacts with a metal tab on the spindle to mark home on the X-Axis. Make sure the metal tab is not cocked to one side or the other and is pointing front to back. Mine was cocked and the bolt holding it loose, apparently moved in packing and shipping.
