My first post. I am about to take the CNC plunge - debating between Axiom and CAMaster. Went to tour the CAMaster factory in Cartersville which was impressive but I am impressed by what I have seen in Axiom machines as well (only seen them in Rockler and not in actual use. I would love to find another Axiom owner in middle Ga that I could connect with and possibly visit their shop and talk through a few things.

I'm in Greenville, SC about an hour across the GA/SC state line and happy to show you my AR8PRO if you don't mind the drive.

I am in Central Alabama, not sure how far a drive it would be though. Look up southern ginger workshop on YouTube he is in Ga somewhere, and I think traindriver is near Augusta.

I'm still working on my shop but have the Axiom ready to go. Not middle Georgia but you can't go wrong by visiting Savannah. Also have a dealer (Case Woodworking) just down the road from me who also has lots of woods to pick from. He had a sale this past weekend and it included a new Axiom still in the box. Sorry, I don't know much more about it. I wasn't able to get to his sale but get the email announcements of them.

Thanks all. I had tried to message train driver as he seems to be closest but so far, have had no response. I will certainly reach out if I am headed towards Savannah or Greenville to see about arranging a time to visit your respective shops. Looking forward to joining the CNC ranks.

My bad. I haven't been monitoring the Axiom board for a few weeks. I welcome anyone who wants to come visit. Feel free to bring something you want to try out, and I'll show you how to do it. That way you'll have something to look at to make you want one even more.

Shucks...I'm loving y'all pinning down "Middle Georgia" relative to where you are. I'm in "Middle Texas" (in a town named Comfort, on IH-10 west of San Antonio). From here, it's 357 miles to Louisiana, 325 miles to the Mexican Border at Brownsville, 325 miles to Oklahoma at the Red River and 524 miles to El Paso on the New Mexico border. Fortunately, the interstate speed limit from here going west is 75 mph for about 30 miles, then kicks up to 80 mph. (That is 1,408 inches per second)

I thought I had made progress when I got to the Texas border but boy was I wrong!

IH-10 is 2,640 miles from "sea to sea"...880 miles of that is in Texas. IH-35 is 1,569 miles from "end to end"...the bottom 505 miles of that is in Texas. It's a long way from here to anywhere (that's not in Texas).
grg...are you still a sailor? (deduced from your profile picture) My 1981 Freedom 40 Cat Ketch is in the Corpus Christi marina. (190 miles from me...that's an easy drive once I get through San Antonio).

Work has kept me away from sailing for the last year though. A 40' Freedom is a lot of space!
