Has anyone cut aluminum with their Axiom AR8 Pro? I am looking to make 3' round discs with a slot to imitate a screw head. I would probably use 1/4" aluminum. Has anyone done this and if so would type of bit and speeds?

As long as you use correct speed, feed, depth of cut, as well as good clamping and lubricant you won't have a problem. Denatured alcohol is a great cutting fluid for aluminum. There are bits offered by many manufacturers specifically for aluminum and you can follow their speed and feed recommendations or get the free trial version of G-Wizard: www.cnccookbook.com/feed-speeds-calculator-gwizard/If you can't get your RPM low enough you may end up using a bit with just one flute.

We have had great success in house with Amana's O-Flute bits for aluminum.
In most cases the recommended RPM is oddly 18,000 witha feed-rate of 55-100ipm and a pass depth of 0.010-0.020" depending on the material.
With some bits the lubrication may not be needed as the heat is being pulled away with the chips at a proper feed/speed. However, we recommend using a little light machine oil, wd-40, denatured alcohol or other lubricant for the longer jobs.

I read in the manual pdf, they use only 2 blocks linear guide for each Y & Z axis and with only 15mm size. I think this machine not too good for cutting alumunium.

These machines use two linear prismatic guides on each axis and two pairs of bearing cars which are spread out along the guides to keep the machine square.
Our customers have had great success with cutting aluminum using the correct bits along with light lubrication or with misters/bit chillers.

the machine will be better for cutting alumunium if they use 4 pcs bearing cars for each axis.
