Decided to take to the spoilboard and add some 20mm dog holes which will fit the Festool clamps I already have. This will make for quick, secure clamping for many projects with no overhang onto the top of the boards. I used a 1/4" up spiral bit to do all the work. The depth of the holes is 22mm, and the diameter is 20mm. The spacing is not even but it's close, as I needed to avoid the screws holding down the spoilboard. Note: The files provided are actually not the ones I used. I kicked off my job in full confidence only to realize I used 11mm instead of 16mm for a repeated measurement which made my holes more off-center than desirable. What I've uploaded is that "I BELIEVE TO BE CORRECTED" and centered. You should evaluate on your own. AxiomAR8 Festool Hole Pattern Centered.zip (604.33 KB) AxiomAR8-20MM-DogHoleSpoilboard.mmg (354.38 KB) The clamps I'm using are: www.festoolusa.com/power-tool-accessories/work-tables/clamps/clamping-elements-2-pack-488030

Figured it can't hurt to also upload the one I did use, which ended up being offcenter on the spoilboards. See the photos below to see the result (which is absolutely usable, just not as pretty) AxiomAR8-20MM-DogHoleSpoilboard-Offcenter.zip (688.78 KB)

Just found your thread. I was thinking my Festool clamps would work great. Think I'm going to give this a shot. Any suggestions? Did it work out like you thought?

The Festool clamps hold tight, but tend to "lift" the board a little at times. I have to be very careful to make sure the board stays flat. I find it best to use these with some double-side tape under the board.
