What thickness is your stock? I bought the Master Navigator Wings and the depth of the model doesn't seem to scale correctly on my 1/2 inch plank.

What thickness is your stock? I bought the Master Navigator Wings and the depth of the model doesn't seem to scale correctly on my 1/2 inch plank. I do 5/4 stock, and add a 1/4 inch base to the digital file. This gives it some depth to hang. Usually it ends up being between 3/4-1 inch thick finished. The high points end close to the inch most the time. You technically can get by with 1 inch stock or even 3/4 if you play it right. |

I purchase the base file from a guy who makes them as a business and I wouldn't want to cheat him out of it. His name is Chris and he runs cncmilitaryemblems.com.
