My Spindle has started making weird grinding noises. It started after it was approximately 10 mins into a cut. I stopped the cut turned the spindle on manually and the noise stopped. So I restarted the cut and it started again after about 5 minutes. Afterwards it has only happened intermittently always stopping for a while after I restart the program. I suspect its the bearings in the spindle. But the fact its so intermittent puzzles me. Would really appreciate some input as what to do next, how to fix it, order bearings etc. I also will have some links to some video of the sounds. Normal Spindle Sound
Bad Spindle Sound
It seems like your spindle issue might be due to worn bearings. Check for damage, ensure proper lubrication, and consider replacing the bearings if necessary. If the problem persists, seek professional help. Regarding the Monport laser, it's worth considering for its ease of use, high quality, and affordability. monportlaser.com/collections/co2-laser-engravers/products/monport-40w-lightburn-ready-12-x-8-co2-laser-engraver-cutter-with-fda-approval?sca_ref=5031521.ka374VZjm3
