![]() I'm offering plans for sale for $20.00 to build this project. It's a 56 bit storage drawer that slides under the bed of the AR8 machine. It serves as a quick access to your tooling and comes with a tool tray. It extends completely out 100% in front so you can still service the Y axis drive. Contact me at bates801@yahoo.com to request plans or more information. I've added a photo of the drawer with a few tools installed. There's no wasted space and the machine in the photos is the same. ![]()

Why so much wasted space? Why not show it with bits? Why 2 different machines? This is mine.

Rob,
I've added another photo showing some tooling in the holders. These holders pivot up to remove bits and then fold back down to allow for the drawer to close.

EDIT: Oh, nevermind; it looks like they all tilt back, so none of them are crossing one another anyway!
The shots of it in use are much more helpful. As a suggestion, perhaps you could stagger the holes on each of the pivot bars that hold the bits. The way it looks right now, if you laid two of them down facing one another, the bits would stack. If you offset every other pivot's holes, then the bits could lie down between one another. Again, just a suggestion. Great build either way!
