Hello Everyone, I have an Axiom Pro V5 Series CNC.
I have completed the install of the 4.2 W laser.
One thing I see as confusing. They should keep the V5 Pro series and the Elite Series separate in the instructions. One cannot tell where exactly one set of instructions stop, and the other begin.
There should be an exact list of instructions. No where in the document does it ever state to power on the machine, or the laser driver controller. That was a little nerve racking without actually knowing for certain I was supposed to power on the CNC controller.
Someone needs to go through the instructions and reword some things and write better instructions.
Even though the instructions did not come from Axiom, I'm sure they had some input along the way. If not, this is all on JTech Photonics.

Presently, the 4.2W Laser is used for Basic, Pro and Elite machines.
With exception to the AR16 Elite...the installation instructions would be the same with very little difference.
The laser and the machine remain separate in terms of power requirements. While the laser control board needs to be powered ON when the laser is in use, the CNC machine will still work for standard operations even when the laser is not connected to power or plugged in.
*The CNC machine will always need to have power for all operations.
There would be no need to have the laser connected to power if its not currently in use.

Hey Andrew, I have an Axiom Pro V5 Series CNC with a RichAuto DSP A11 Controller that I have had since 2015. I am installing a JTech 4.2 laser and having problems with Vectric Aspire recognizing the Post Processor.
Did you have this problem? If so, how did you overcome it?
Thanks.

I too am having problems getting the post processor to load for my Laser (Iconic 6, Jtech and picked this up at the Axiom shop). I followed the steps....but then they seem to just quit. Called in and all the tech said I was to cut and paste the download into PostP - just like the booklet says. Did that. Restarted the program, Nope not there. Restarted the PC...nope not there. Any help please??!!!?!!?!!!!
Granted I may not be a programmer but I do have the ability to work within the directions given. Love the machine and its potential...but having to go into the system and make these changes seems a bit much. Most programms will come with a load disk or something. The reply "Watch our video on Youtube" is not a great customer service approach.
So can anyone help me get my expensive laser to light up???

I'm sorry that I haven't been back to the forum for a long time but it just doesn't fit into my daily routine. However, I was able to get my laser up and working by working JTech. My first interaction was with Jay who was able to understand my problem and worked out a solution with the Post Processor while we were talking. Then, my second interaction with JTech was with Shane who worked me through a series of problem solving and returns until finally got my laser running. The problem with the laser was mechanical/techincal issues.
I cannot say ANYTHING negative about JTech support because they responded quickly and worked with me to solve my problems.
