Machine sat for 3 months and went to run a few projects and the controller lights up but is blank. Checked all connections and are all good, also powered down and restarted and still the same issue? Thoughts?

Found some other people with the same issues on this forum. Chad mentioned it was a firmware update? Anyone know how to do this?

The firmware fix won't apply to all controllers.
Essentially if the controller is at least trying to boot up...this is a good sign and it can nearly always be fixed.
If its a blank screen with unresponsive buttons, it may still be fixable if it can be encouraged to boot up by powering it ON/OFF a number of times (I will go as much as 3 dozens cycles during testing). Often if the memory is corrupt, it may become difficult for the controller to load. In the event that the controller can either be booted up normally or through the emergency state mode...then the firmware can be used to reprogram the control and rewrite the memory.
If the controller remains blank, then the best option may be to send it in to service. In general, remaining completely blank is a good indicator that it will need to be replaced but they can sometimes be salvaged.
*Unfortunately, the firmware is somewhat specific to the controller version and thus we request that customers contact us to make sure that the proper files are used.
Restore files are very similar in that they are designed for specific machines, but a little more adaptable since all the settings are adjustable once installed.
