I am new to the forum and to the CNC hobby/business. I was getting ready to order a Pro+ 6 when I accidentally ran across the new Ver5. Called Axiom and ordered the Ver5.($500 more)
I am anxious to receive my new machine and start learning the CNC business. I am sure I will be on the forum many times to ask questions.

I am interested what is the difference with the Ver 5 you have ordered?
I couldn't see any information about it.

Bauldy...I think he's talking about the AR8 Pro V5 ...which is a 2x4 machine (vs the 2x2 or 2x3). It's in the "product list" off of the main Axiom page.

The AR4 is 24x24, AR6 24x36. AR8 24x48. The V5 may be a new version of the AR8 Pro, but I don't know for sure. I am sure Axiom will chime in sometime and explain what the V5 actually means.

The sales person at Axiom related the difference to me. Many upgrades I am not going to get into here. He told me the web page would be updated soon to reflect the V5. I was told the AR6 ver5 was a 24 x 36 machine so I hope that is what I am getting. I am going to check on that Monday just to make sure.

I knew the AR6 was a 24x36 machine, but I look forward to what changes they made because I was thinking about getting the AR6 and sell my AR4.

The description on my invoice is "AXIOM AUTOROUTE 6 V5" and the price is $6999 which would be $500 more than the AR6 Pro+ and $500 less than the AR8 PRO V5 (24" x 48"). According to that I am expecting a 24x36 machine. It would be nice if the web page reflected these new machines since I was told they were ramping down the Pro+

The new Pro V5 is a new updated model of the Pro+ machines....which is expected to be released publicly today.
This upgrade features a new color scheme updating the machines to match the Elite models, an upgraded cooling system, a larger redesigned control box and new larger, more powerful 48V stepper motors on all axes.
This model was originally scheduled to be released in March of this year, but year end sales numbers exhausted the on hand inventory of the Pro+ models so much that the new models are being released currently starting with the AR8 24x48 size.
The new V5 machines will be available in the same sizes as all previous Pro model machines with no changes to the machine dimensions etc.
Along with this change, the i2R inventory is being re-branded as Iconic machines and will be seeing an upgrade as we change over to a larger control box solution for these machines as well....and a larger, more robust stand and toolbox (very similar to the Pro machines). Along with the new control box will be some increased connector quality and a new laser accessory for the i2R and Iconic line.

Thanks for the detailed feedback Axiom. One of the things that impresses me is the feedback and support that Axiom provide on this site - as well as many of the regulars here of course!
Thanks again, will keep a look out.
