Into my 3rd week with the I2R, Haven't used it since last weekend, where after a couple of small issues the Axiom crew helped me out with it performed great. But started a piece this morning and after running the v bit tool path I started up the clearance path and notice that it all seemed off and that the tool paths were not aligned. So abandoned that project and started a 3d carve that I ran last week with no issues. Same settings same file, and etc. I noticed about halfway through the first pass that the carve was coming out titled on the Y axis. stopped it and tuned over the wood and re-ran it. The 1st path turned out great, but on the 2nd pass the Y was way off (1/4" or so). I am at a loss here, this is my 2nd axiom system, so all the basic maintenance and etc have been done. Did my morning pre-op PMCS before running the 1st piece this morning. Here are a couple of photos of the 2nd and 3rd attempts. In one of the photos it really stands out, in the other you have to look to see the difference. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I checked just about everything I could think of to make sure it was locked down nice and tight. And yes the boards were locked down and didn't slip. Tazer58

Hi Tazer,
I probably won't be of much help here, but I did want to ask about your feeds and speeds. The only time I've seen this type of thing occur on my projects was when I was running the machine too fast for the material I was cutting. It was mostly successful, but there was a particularly hard part in the wood and when the endmill hit that, the steppers on the machine skipped a few steps and the rest of the path was skewed and distorted because of it.
However, this should make your path shorter, not longer (like it appears to be in the first image in the upper-right quadrant). -and the bottom right quadrant would likely be offset by the same amount.
For trouble-shooting sake, have you tried running a much slower cut? Like, use the same file, but use the Y- key on the keypad after the cut starts to reduce the speed of cuts to see if the distortion is the same?
If it's not skipping at all, then it seems like it would either be an issue in the file export from your software, or an issue in how the Axiom firmware is reading that file.
Have you tried any other paths, or have you tried re-exporting the path for that project?
