I have been working with J Tech Photonics to make the Axiom machine to do laser engraved pictures using PicLaser and PicEngrave Pro 6. Results are very good. I have an Axiom 8Pro and this is working well. J Tech Photonics will be adding some information to their website. You have to buy two items so that the Axiom can do PMW to the laser PicConvert: jtechphotonics.com/?product=dacpwm-converter-boardNew Laser Driver: jtechphotonics.com/?product=2-0-amp-adjustable-laser-diode-driver-kit-8v-complianceSee attached picture for the wiring diagram. You set PicLaser or PicEngrave to use the "A" axis. It does take some practice to setup the machine, the software and one line edit on the Gcode. But once the settings are dialed in then it works great. J Tech Photonics will be publishing a document and a "how to" very soon. The verbiage for the setup is lengthy and may take multiple posts to share. If you are interested in more information, let me know. I will be glad to share what I know. Picture was done using the Pic Convert setup at 125"/min. Photo is a 6" on cheap pine ply. I used cheap wood for the testing.

May have jumped the gun on this, my apologizes. Anytime that you try something new, you learn that it can be done better or use different methods. The above method does work and gets "okay" results. Working with J-tech, we have found a better way that gets excellent results. Still have to invest in some parts but you get gray scale photos. I'm still working on the manual with J-tech. You can message me if you want to get more details.

Those knots are certainly distracting, but keep us informed. Thanks

Was there any progress on this effort? Also, can you report the wiring diagram? It won't let me open it...probably because of how old this thread is. Also, are you using aspire or vcarve? What file type are you saving this as and is this an engraving toolpath? Sorry for all the questions just curious.
