1. The B58 Controller does not have enough cable length to reach the front of the machine, it looks like I need to get an HDMI extender cable to make this work. 2. The dust shoe magnets are not strong enough to keep the shoe attached at all times, it slipped off during the spoilboard cutting operation. 3. The hose between the dust shoe and the overarm is barely long enough, it barely reaches the home location.
Items one and three are easily fixed, does anyone have issues with the magnetic dust shoe attachment and is there an easy fix?
These are in addition to the Z0 touchoff issue that I posted earlier today.
I'll be contacting Axiom on Monday, I was hoping for a smoother startup procedure.

Unplug the controller cable from the back of the machine. Remove the screws holding in the panel so that you can slip the connector end (that goes into the plug in back of the machine) through the "slot" beneath it from front to back after routing it through the "right side" of the machine at the "front end". Screw the panel back in place. This should give you enough distance to get the controller to the 'hook' on the front end.
The depth of the magnets can be adjusted by "pushing" on them. They should just barely meet when the shoe is fully seated on the base.
I had the same problem with the dust hose and used a longer one I had on hand. Aggravating, I know, but they did make note of the issue.

I fixed the controller cable issue with a trip to Best Buy last night, still working on the other two issues. Thanks for the feedback!

I had all three issues that you speak about, as I also purchased and received my AR16 this December. The magnets just need to be pushed by your finger and they will make stronger contact with your shoe. I did it no problem and it holds on perfect.
With the vacuum hose, it should be 54 inches, not 48 inches, I spoke to Chad and he had me position the arm directly in the middle of the table, not on the right, like it shows on the video. This gives the vacuum hose enough clearance for each corner, I might purchase a 5 feet hose on Amazon if I have trouble in the future.
Where did you buy your extension cable for the B58, you are right since they place the PC in the back you have to connect it from there and you lose a lot of cable bringing it to the front. Can you give us the part number for us to follow your lead from BEST BUY?
Thanks,
MG

Did you have any issues with the ZO and the homing puck? Mine is off by exactly 1mm (too high).

There's a setting in there for the puck thickness. I think (from another post I saw) that my controller (a Hust) is no longer what they are providing on the AR16 Elites, but it should be a not-too -different path to the same stuff. It's buried in the controller settings somewhere (I just don't recall the route to get to them). A quick phone call to Chad at Axiom should get you on the right track.
info on this is in the "Tool Mold" section on page 28 of the current AR-16 manual
