I am preparing for my AR8 Pro and am wondering what the best collection hose to use that is strong enough but not to heavy for the shoe. Where to purchase? Any other tips would be appreciated to get it set up correctly. Thanks for the help.

I have a generic 4" hose connected to a Kent dust shoe. I suspended it from the ceiling so there is very little weight on the spindle and dust shoe. It works great and I have have had no problems with the setup!

I am doing the same thing as Stevem (4" hose, suspended above machine), but I also zip-tied it to the case over the z-axis (I passed zip-ties through the vent slots) so it doesn't move around. Make sure you move your machine through the complete ranges of motion (x, y and Z) to ensure there aren't any issues before you commit with you fixtures.

I also suspend mine from the ceiling. Another nicety of that method is when I use my laser. I leave the shoe connected to the hose, but loosen the shoe mount to the spindle. I swing up the shoe and connect it to a hook I have fastened to the suspension rope for the dust shoe. The shoe is out of the way of the laser and I only have to loosen a single 5mm bolt to remove/attach it.
