I have an Elite 16 machine and I am trying to cut .250" 5052 Aluminum with no luck.
Bit Size: .25" RPM: Tried 16,000 - 20,000 Feed Rate: Tried 10-15 IPM Plunge Rate: 2 IPM Passes: 6
I have tried multiple toolpath changes with the IPM plunge and feed rates (Suggested by the Axiom Tech Support). I continue to get an Error code (20.Z.Soft.OT) when the bit goes down for a new pass. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That error is indicating that you do not have enough room to move in the Z direction to finish or complete the job.
This is most likely due to the short length of tooling.
With the taller Elite machines, the spindle has a large amount of adjustability and it may simply be set too high in the clamp. You can loosen the spindle mount and lower the motor....you will just need to reset the Z Origin.

Or you can bring the work up to the bit if you "raise" the spoilboard by anchoring your piece to a scrap of 3/4" plywood (or MDF) and clamping that to the spoilboard strips.
Hint...bypass the puck and do your touch off to the surface of whatever you're using as a spoilboard...that way you "know it's gonna get there", but be sure to specify this change in Vectric and re-create the job file.
